Ian
'Pepe' Goodison is one of Jamaica's all time outstanding
defenders. He was born November 21, 1972 in Montego
Bay and made is international debut against Guatemala
in 1996. Ian was an integral member of The Reggae
Boyz 1998 World Cup team and as of October 2005
played over 100 international matches and racked
up 9 goals for Jamaica.
'Pepe'
is touted as the best man-marker on the Reggae
Boyz team. He is a firm, rugged and strong tackler
with a keen understanding of the game. He is a
team player that covers well for fellow defenders,
and has the ability to score goals especially
from set plays.
He
is currently a member of Tranmere Rovers, to which
he joined in February 2004 after a stint at Hull
City .
